The 7th Industry Summit/Awards is set to occur on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. During a ceremony at the Bakin Kamanda Nomadic School, CITAD Executive Director Dr. Yunusa Yau emphasized the importance of education in mitigating insecurity, stating that bridging educational gaps is crucial for reducing criminal activities.
Supporting Education in Underserved Areas
Highlighting the need for basic educational provisions, Dr. Yau shared that 100 uniforms were distributed to students to promote school attendance. He urged government and stakeholders to enhance educational support in underserved regions. Yusuf Haris, head of Dangora village, echoed this sentiment, advocating for a balanced focus on both Islamic and Western education for the children of Fulani herdsmen.
