    Surprising facts about staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida

    I recently spent two nights at the Ritz Carlton Naples in Tiburon, Florida. This was my first time staying at a Ritz-Carlton hotel, and there were a few things that surprised me about this chain. I didn’t expect to have access to two locations. I was also surprised by some of the amenities.

    I never expected that my understanding of golf would deepen. I never thought I would be in a lazy river. And I never expected to have access to two resorts.

    However, my first stay at the Ritz-Carlton hotel was full of surprises.

    This was during a two-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Tiburon in Naples, Florida in October 2025. My stay was about $800 a night, but Business Insider received a media fee.

    I’m not really into hotel chains, but the Ritz-Carlton is an iconic luxury brand, so I decided to give it a try.

    When we were planning our trip, we had no idea there were two Ritz-Carlton resorts less than 8 miles apart.

    When we arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Naples, our reservation was nowhere to be found. I was filled with anxiety until an employee informed me that I was in the wrong place.

    I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Naples in Tiburon, about 8 miles east. I didn’t know there were two locations in the city, but I was surprised that they were so close together.

    I didn’t expect to have access to both locations.

    Each Ritz-Carlton guest has access to all amenities at both properties, and a shuttle service operates between the two properties. I was very happy as I had never stayed at a hotel with this benefit.

    I was surprised at how different the hotel was.

    After spending some time at each resort, I found that each offered a completely different experience.

    Both were very luxurious, but The Ritz-Carlton Naples Tiburon was more golf-focused and The Ritz-Carlton Naples was right on the beach. The former seemed quiet and catered to an older crowd, while the latter felt crowded with a wide range of ages.

    After spending the day at a busy beach resort, we were grateful to be able to relax at the quiet Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburon.

    At the Ritz-Carlton Naples Tiburon, I didn’t expect to find a golf course where professionals play.

    I had never picked up a putter for anything other than mini golf, so I didn’t expect to find any interest in the hotel’s two courses. I then learned that the company hosts three professional tournaments each year, according to its website.

    Although I don’t like golf, I was immediately excited by the presence of guests who do. As a baseball fan, I thought how great it would be to have the opportunity to play in a major league ballpark. So I ended up really appreciating the golf course at The Ritz-Carlton Naples Tiburon.

    I’ve never stayed in a hotel with a lazy river before.

    The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburon isn’t just for golfers. The hotel has a small water park next to the pool area, with a high winding slide and a lazy river.

    I’ve stayed at hotels with waterslides before, but I’ve never heard of one with a lazy river. I’m not much of a thrill seeker, so I was excited to participate in a leisurely water activity. I hopped on an inflatable tube and floated around the shaded loop, looking up at the palm trees swaying in the breeze.

    On my second day in Naples, I took a shuttle to another location of the hotel chain on the beach. When I stepped inside, I was amazed by the most beautiful bar I’ve ever seen in a hotel lobby.

    Renovated in 2023, the RITZ Lobby Bar is designed to create a celebratory atmosphere, according to the hotel’s website. And I think they nailed it.

    Elegant light fixtures hung from the ceiling above, arched windows flooded the room with light, and gold accents tied the room together.

    The biggest surprise was rebooking with the hotel chain.

    As someone who loves boutique hotels and unique stays, I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the Ritz-Carlton. But I’m curious to see what other Ritz-Carlton resorts are like, as the two locations in the same city offer very different experiences.
