The Michigan Data Analysis Center reports that the state ranks among the lowest in the nation when it comes to population growth. Projections from the U.S. Census suggest that immigrants will represent approximately 60% of Michigan’s population increase by 2025.

A recent U.S. Census report estimates that Detroit’s population has risen to 645,705, marking an increase of 12,487 residents since last year. This growth underscores the importance of immigration as a potential stabilizing force for Michigan’s economy.
