Beau Greaves Secures Back-to-Back Titles at PDC Women’s Series in Wigan
Beau Greaves continued to assert her dominance in the PDC Women’s Series by clinching consecutive titles in Wigan on Sunday. Although her astounding 114-match winning streak came to an end with a defeat to Fallon Sherlock on Saturday, the 22-year-old rebounded impressively the following day, beginning a new winning streak.
At the event, Greaves showcased her skill by defeating Chris Savery and overcoming challenges posed by Courtney Hein, Noah-Lynn van Leuven, and Kaina Frauenfelder, while only conceding two legs across three matches.
Resilience Amidst Tough Competition
In the opening final, Greaves sought to avenge her earlier loss but faced stiff competition from Sherlock, who initially took a 3-2 lead. However, Greaves rallied to win three of the final four legs, securing the match in her favor.
Building on that momentum, Greaves entered Event 8, first sweeping Carly Chenery and then averaging over 98 in a victory against Lorraine Hyde in the second round. With mounting confidence, she then defeated Jade Gofford, Kim Holden, and Deta Hedman to reach the semifinals.
Dominance in the Finals
In her second final of the day, Greaves produced an impressive performance, hitting two 180s and executing an 11-darter in the final leg against Rhianne O’Sullivan, ultimately winning decisively with a score of 5-1.
