The Kebbi State Government is preparing to intensify its appeal for federal intervention to address escalating security concerns. Governor Nasir Idris is set to brief President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and senior defense officials on the deteriorating security situation in the state.

This initiative surfaces as armed bandits and criminal groups have launched a series of attacks across various communities in Kebbi. Particularly affected are local government areas adjacent to Niger State and other neighboring regions, where residents have faced relentless assaults, cattle theft, kidnappings, and killings in recent months.

The state government plans to engage with the Office of the President, the Federal Ministry of Defence, and the National Defense Headquarters. The focus is to ensure long-term solutions to the security issues plaguing Kebbi while bolstering existing military and security operations.
