The House of Representatives has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the recent clashes between farmers and herders in Lanzai town and the adjacent Dosho community in the Dalaso local government area of Bauchi State. This decision follows escalating violence that resulted in nine fatalities and substantial property damage. Security agencies are now directed to identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for these acts of violence.

This resolution stemmed from an urgent motion introduced by Hon. Johnson, the Member of Parliament for the Daraso/Ganjwa Federal Constituency, during a plenary session. He highlighted the brutal incidents that erupted last Wednesday, resulting in numerous injuries, extensive property destruction, and the forced evacuation of local residents.

In his remarks, Hon. Johnson detailed the horrifying consequences of the clashes, which included the loss of life, injuries, and the burning of around 50 huts and other essential means of livelihood.
