Zedcrest Group Appoints Ademola Akogun as New Managing Director of Investment Banking
Lagos, Nigeria – March 2026 – In a significant move aimed at strengthening its position in the financial sector, Zedcrest Group has officially appointed Ademola Akogun as the Managing Director of Investment Banking. This decision, approved by the company’s Board of Directors, comes on the heels of Zedcrest’s recent acquisition of a publishing agency license, a strategic advancement that enhances the firm’s capabilities in investment banking.
This new role allows Zedcrest to implement a comprehensive suite of investment banking services, which includes capital raising, structured finance, and advisory solutions. During a press conference at Zedcrest’s Lagos headquarters, Group Managing Director Adedayo Amzat, CFA, announced the appointment, noting that it is subject to review by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He expressed enthusiasm about Akogun’s addition to the leadership team, emphasizing the importance of nurturing a world-class investment banking enterprise.

Ademola Akogun brings over a decade of experience in infrastructure finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory to his new role. Before joining Zedcrest, he served as Head of Financial Advisory and Debt Solutions at Quest Merchant Bank Limited, where he led intricate transaction origination and execution across key sectors such as energy and infrastructure.
His previous experience includes the role of Vice President of Investments at EverCorp Industries, where he spearheaded investment strategies, deal structuring, and portfolio management across a diverse energy portfolio. Akogun began his career at Vetiva Capital Management, ascending to Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance/Investment Banking division within a short time, and later joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC Nigeria) as an Assistant Manager in Corporate Finance.
Akogun holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Energy and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Education) from the University of Lagos. He has further honed his skills through executive programs at both Lagos Business School and Bocconi University, focusing on infrastructure finance and strategic management.
