Ogun State Launches ATC Business and Industrial Park
The Ogun State Government has officially inaugurated the construction of the ATC Business and Industrial Park, a significant 10-acre private investment hub located in Oderemo, just a few kilometers from the newly developed Gateway Airport. Officials emphasized that this initiative will substantially enhance industrialization, create jobs, and attract capital investments to the region.
Government Commitment to Business Growth
Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by Works Commissioner Ade Akinsanya, outlined that this project aligns with his administration’s vision to position Ogun State as a premier destination for business and innovation. Through strategic initiatives, the government aims to foster a conducive ecosystem for investment.
Praise for Project Promoter
At the event, Abiodun commended former Senator Oladipo Odujinrin, the park’s promoter, for spearheading this ambitious project. He referred to it as a “mega-scale initiative” poised to expand economic possibilities and improve the quality of life for residents in the area.
Economic Impact of the Industrial Park
The industrial park is expected to drive job creation, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and lure both domestic and international investors. Abiodun indicated that it will also act as a catalyst for regional development, creating pathways for skill acquisition and enhancing commerce, thereby uplifting living standards in and around Oderemo.
Infrastructure and Development Plans
Odujinrin, Chairman of Abejoye Trading Company Limited, heralded the project as “history in motion,” characterizing it as a critical economic platform rather than merely an infrastructure endeavor. He reported that over four acres of the park have already been developed, featuring essential infrastructure, including an internal road network, reliable power supply, management facilities, and three fully occupied warehouses leased to foreign companies.
Co-Investment and Future Opportunities
The remaining six acres are set to be opened for co-investment opportunities, which include plans for a shopping mall, a four-star hotel, and a mixed-use development. Odujinrin noted that the park presents investors with a “risk-free” environment, with existing tenant demand and scalable infrastructure fitted with effective power solutions to mitigate energy challenges.
Community Support and Future Development
Also present at the launch was Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the supreme ruler of Limoland in Akaribo, who expressed his satisfaction with this pivotal project. He praised the developers and requested continued encouragement in Remoland’s quest for economic advancement. The ceremony also featured a groundbreaking for a shopping mall within the park, marking the commencement of its second development phase. Officials stated that this project is set to strengthen Ogun State’s industrial framework and bolster Nigeria’s stature as a manufacturing hub.
