The meeting was held at the Governor’s residence in Abuja and centered on potential collaborations for the Calabar Atlantic Coast City Project and the Cross River Integrated Food Security and Agro-Industrial Development Project. Both initiatives aim to stimulate economic growth, create job opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and reinforce food security within the state.
During the discussions, Governor Otu highlighted that the proposed partnership aligns seamlessly with his administration’s vision for sustainable development, economic diversification, and responsible environmental management. He reiterated Cross River State’s commitment to pursuing strategic investments that can unlock the region’s immense natural and economic resources.
Governor Otu emphasized, “Cross River State is open to innovative partnerships that generate value for its residents, expand economic opportunities, and position the state as a competitive investment destination.” He noted that the Atlantic Coastal City and Integrated Food Security projects strongly resonate with his goal of building a resilient and prosperous Cross River.
Further, the Governor underscored the importance of utilizing private sector expertise and fostering international partnerships to achieve accelerated development outcomes. He stated, “Our administration is dedicated to pursuing projects that harmonize economic growth with environmental sustainability. We welcome trustworthy partners who share our vision and can deliver transformative results for both present and future generations.”

He noted that the proposed initiatives would serve as catalysts for sustainable economic growth while enhancing climate change resilience and environmental regeneration.
Degre remarked, “Cross River possesses unique natural assets and strategic advantages that position it as an ideal location for innovative investments.” He elaborated on the vision for the Calabar Atlantic Coast City Project, describing it as a world-class coastal development that integrates innovation, environmental responsibility, and economic prosperity. He also highlighted the Integrated Food Security and Agro-Industrial Development Project as a means to bolster agricultural value chains, increase food production, and generate numerous opportunities throughout the economy.
Jennifer Warren, co-founder and deputy CEO of NOAH ReGen, reiterated the organization’s commitment to establishing long-term partnerships that yield measurable social and economic impacts. “Our goal is to collaborate closely with the Cross River State Government to develop projects that are commercially viable, environmentally responsible, and socially inclusive,” she stated. “We are enthusiastic about the collaboration’s potential and the extensive opportunities it presents for our community, investors, and future generations.”
Both Governor Otu and Mr. Degre expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential and agreed to enhance technical engagement to bring these projects to fruition.
