Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, inaugurated a new health center and academy in Hadejia, Jigawa State, on Monday. This initiative aims to enhance early detection and prevention of chronic kidney disease, particularly among vulnerable populations.
Oluremi Tinubu Clinic Established to Serve Underserved Communities
The newly established clinic, named the Oluremi Tinubu Clinic, is fully equipped thanks to the collaboration of Future Map Foundation and eHealth Africa. Situated on Garun Gabas Road in Hadejia, the clinic serves as a symbol of the First Lady’s commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved communities.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy Launched by the Federal Government
In addition to the healthcare facility, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy was launched by the Federal Government through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). This new educational institution aims to foster technological solutions in healthcare.
Health Initiative Aligns with National Health Technology Objectives
The inauguration of these facilities comes shortly after President Bola Tinubu announced the formation of the National Health Technology and Data Analytics Agency, signifying a strategic move toward leveraging technology in healthcare delivery.

At the opening ceremony, Senator Tinubu emphasized the partnership’s significance in addressing public health challenges. She expressed gratitude to Future Map Foundation and eHealth Africa for their support, reiterating, “Health is wealth and prevention saves lives.”

Jigawa State Governor Umaru Namadi commended the First Lady’s efforts, highlighting her role in enhancing healthcare and initiating the National Community Food Bank Program. He framed these projects as vital steps toward addressing food insecurity and malnutrition in the region.
