APC Leader Praises Infrastructure Developments in Abuja
Princewill Dyke, a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has expressed his admiration for Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), highlighting the significant infrastructure improvements underway in Abuja.
Dyke, a lawyer based in Port Harcourt, commended Wike for his substantial contributions to development, particularly noting the successful launch of the first phase of the Kuje-Gwagwalada dual carriageway.
In an interview with journalists in Port Harcourt, Dyke emphasized that the 30-day project initiated by Wike to commemorate President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary is a clear embodiment of the President’s “New Hope” agenda. He noted that these initiatives represent a strategic commitment to inclusive development, aiming to extend governance efforts beyond the central urban areas.
Additionally, Dyke acknowledged Wike’s practical and people-centric approach to project implementation across satellite communities. He affirmed that the minister’s focus on essential infrastructure aligns with President Tinubu’s directive to ensure that Abuja works for all Nigerians, not just the affluent neighborhoods.
Recalling President Tinubu’s remarks during the inauguration ceremony, conveyed by Vice President Kassim Shettima, Dyke noted that the completed seven-kilometer dual-lane road stands as a landmark achievement meant to enhance safety, encourage commerce, and facilitate smoother transit for residents.
The President pointed out that the corridor had previously caused significant hardship for traders, commuters, and residents of Kuje, Gwagwalada, Kwari, and nearby communities due to issues like delays and inadequate access. The road’s completion is viewed as a pivotal moment that will usher in a new era of connectivity and economic prospects.
APC members have asserted that the ongoing transformation of Abuja is successfully rekindling public trust in governance. Dyke stated, “The launch of the 30-day project by Wike is a testament to effective governance. President Tinubu’s anniversary celebration will be marked by tangible infrastructure that resonates with the populace.” He further commented that Wike’s visible leadership has already showcased what dedicated governance can achieve, asserting that in three years, Abuja will undergo a significant transformation.
The APC concluded by remarking that Wike’s efforts within his initial 30 days represent a substantial anniversary gift to residents of Abuja, asserting that President Tinubu’s New Hope Agenda extends beyond mere rhetoric; it is embodied in concrete projects and ongoing improvements.
