The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Fisheries Law Enforcement Division is looking into a video that allegedly documents the interaction between the individual and the sea lion. Rachel Hager, a spokesperson for NOAA Fisheries, confirmed the investigation in an email, stating that it appears the person was kicking the animal. Hager acknowledged that details are limited as the inquiry is ongoing.
