A social media influencer was fatally shot by her estranged husband less than two weeks after her TikTok video accused him of pedophilia, according to police and court records. Sarah Gilson, 43, was killed in Owasso, Oklahoma, by her husband, Jeremiah Duffy, who also went by Sean Duffy on social media.

On July 11, Gilson posted a TikTok video alleging that Duffy was a pedophile, which quickly garnered over 30,000 followers. In her post, she expressed her anticipation for a potential Netflix documentary on her soon-to-be ex-husband, whom she characterized in alarming terms.

The video drew inspiration from a popular social media trend that imitates Netflix documentaries, in which users act as if they are part of a tell-all interview. Her caption poignantly included phrases like “I wish I was kidding,” along with hashtags such as #plotwist and #netflix, resonating with her audience as she shared her unsettling reality.
Claims Prompt Law Enforcement Action
According to police reports, on June 9—just prior to her video—Gilson had been informed by a concerned parent that Duffy, who coached a traveling basketball team, had inappropriately touched a young girl during a school event. An eyewitness, a coach from another team, intervened and alerted the girl’s parents.
Previous Allegations and Jurisdiction Complications
Authorities revealed that similar allegations against Duffy had surfaced over an extended period across multiple jurisdictions in several states. After the incident at the school, Duffy fled and has since evaded law enforcement.
Incident Leads to Murder-Suicide Investigation
