Additionally, the legal representatives for Edo State Governor Monday Okpebolo are also named in the suit.

According to the plaintiffs, the necessity for heightened security measures stems from a desire to safeguard Obi’s constitutional rights and ensure his uninterrupted engagement in the election process. Legal representatives Okere Kingdom Nnamdi and Joseph Enemona Ameh assert that the protective measures are essential to prevent Obi from becoming a victim of political violence, particularly assassination, as the election date approaches.
