Shortly after saying goodnight to Detail, Phillips posted on Facebook about the horrific attack. The suspect allegedly stabbed the mare six times, leading to a chaotic scene as Detail bolted through the barn, leaving a trail of blood. Phillips expressed disbelief that such a violent act could happen so close to her; she meticulously ensures the stall is secured before departing.
Police Investigation and Charges Filed
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, authorities arrested the 17-year-old male suspect early Saturday morning after receiving reports about the injured horses at the Professional’s Choice Vegas Super Show. Investigators indicated that the girl may have used a knife to inflict multiple wounds on the horses, although they are not considered life-threatening.
