Collaboration and Innovation Essential for an Inclusive Africa
Eman Karim, General Director of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), emphasized the significance of partnerships and innovation in creating a more inclusive Africa for individuals with disabilities. Speaking at the Inclusive Africa 2026 conference, he marked the launch of the first phase of a continental report focused on assistive technology.
Mr. Karim participated in the event via an online session organized by the National Academy of Disability Information Technology, hosted at Knowledge City. The conference attracted a diverse audience, including representatives from African governments, international organizations, civil society groups, and the private sector.
Insights on Assistive Technology and Policy
Throughout the conference, attendees unveiled the initial findings of the Report on the Reality of Assistive Technology in Africa.
