Fidelity Bank Announces Departure of Independent Non-Executive Director
Fidelity Bank has confirmed that Molofunke Vanmeke will conclude her tenure as an independent non-executive director on April 30, coinciding with the end of her term. The announcement was made in a statement issued by the bank’s secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje, and published on the NGX Group platform.
The statement highlighted the bank’s adherence to its established policies, stating, “The Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank would like to inform NGX Regulation Limited and the public of this development. Mr. Molofunke Vanmeke has completed her term of office and will retire from the Bank’s Board of Directors on April 30, 2026, in accordance with the Bank’s policy.” The board has officially approved her resignation.

Her 17-year association with Guaranty Trust Bank and GTBank UK Limited culminated in her role as the pioneering Managing Director of GTBank UK Limited, where she played a crucial role in the bank’s establishment in the UK market.

From June 2009 to October 2012, Vanmeke served as General Manager and Group Head of Operations at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, overseeing the bank’s operations across its extensive network of branches.
