Terry Bollea, famously known as Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 71 from natural causes, concluding an investigation into his death in July 2025, as reported by the Clearwater Police Department on Friday.
On July 24 of last year, local authorities responded to a call regarding a cardiac arrest at Hogan’s home at 9:51 a.m. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead at 11:17 a.m.
The autopsy findings revealed that Hogan’s death was caused solely by unavoidable natural causes, with no indications of traumatic or toxicological factors contributing to his condition. Clearwater police confirmed that their investigation found no evidence of criminal activity surrounding his demise.
The Clearwater Police Department emphasized their thorough approach to the case, stating that it was essential to verify various concerns related to the incident. Investigators conducted multiple interviews and reviewed recordings to address key questions about Hogan’s final moments.
On Friday, police concluded their investigation, releasing details from the 911 call made on the day of Hogan’s passing, as well as interviews conducted with an occupational therapist. In the call, Hogan’s wife, Skye Daley Hogan, expressed alarm, saying, “My husband doesn’t seem to be breathing.”
At the time of the incident, home health care worker Dana Swinton, Skye Daley Hogan, and occupational therapist Justin McKamey were present in the residence. They attempted CPR on Hogan until the fire department arrived, shortly after McKamey started his appointment just ten minutes before the emergency occurred.
The investigation’s comprehensive report, spanning approximately 70 pages, includes testimonials from responding officers and recounts the scene at Hogan’s home on El Dorado Avenue. Firefighters were called to assist in removing Hogan from the residence while simultaneously providing life-saving measures to stabilize him.
McKamey shared with police that Hogan had endured a series of health challenges, particularly stating that the former wrestler had undergone numerous surgeries, including procedures on his knee, hip, and back. His wife revealed that he had recently experienced spinal fusion surgery in his neck, followed by heart surgery and a diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, which required chemotherapy shortly before his death.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Skye Daley Hogan described her husband’s death as “sudden and impossible to process,” acknowledging his ongoing health issues. Law enforcement expressed gratitude to the Hogan family for their openness during a difficult time, stating that their cooperation was invaluable to the investigation.
