During his address, President Tinubu outlined the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return of kidnapping victims in Oyo State, reaffirming that all necessary steps, including international cooperation, are being taken to minimize harm. He highlighted the administration’s commitment to addressing the escalating issues of banditry and kidnapping across Nigeria.

Represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and collaborate with security forces. He emphasized the critical role that traditional and faith-based organizations can play in enhancing community security, urging them to take initiative through the channels provided by the government.

The President pointed out that economic development thrives in a secure environment. In a statement reflecting on the Premier Hotel project, Odua Investment Company Limited’s Group Chairman, Mr. Bimbo Ashiru, expressed the company’s ambition to redevelop heritage assets into vibrant mixed-use destinations that foster economic growth in the South West. After nearly four years of renovations, the Premier Hotel has been transformed from 87 rooms into 154 luxurious suites, establishing it as a top-tier hospitality destination.
A Vision for Future Growth
Abdulrahman Inusa, the Group Managing Director of Odua Investment Company Limited, celebrated the successful transition of the hotel, highlighting the collaborative effort that made it possible. He underscored that once fully operational in the fourth quarter of 2026, the Premier Hotel will elevate the region’s hospitality offerings, fostering tourism and creating job opportunities while also serving as a venue for international conferences and business engagements.
