The modern shopping complex pays tribute to the late Dr. Mai Tangle, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheel II, acknowledging his enduring contributions to peace, development, and community leadership. The original market was destroyed, prompting this project designed to enhance local economic activities.

The updated Kanto-ma Market now boasts a total of 114 stores, a significant increase from the previous 44, providing an enhanced environment for trade.

In addition to his market initiatives, Governor Yahaya has appointed Mohamed Saidu Boltongo as Special Adviser on Ethical Orientation. He also approved the reconstitution of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission, with new appointments that include Abubakar Sadiq Kuruba as Chairman and several other members.
