Raja Adeoye Engages Key Political Stakeholders in Lagos State
Raja Adeoye, the leading gubernatorial candidate from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, recently convened a strategic meeting with vital political factions to enhance consensus and build momentum for his campaign.
A statement from his campaign office detailed that meetings included the Lagos PDP Executive, the South West Executive, the State PDP Women’s Committee, and the Lagos PDP Youth Wing, held at the party secretariat in Ikeja on Friday.
This gathering follows Adeoye’s earlier discussions with the party’s esteemed leader, Olabode George, as well as with the Forum of Local Government Chairmen and other influential stakeholders throughout Lagos State, as part of an ongoing consultation initiative.
During this high-level meeting, Adeoye unveiled his vision for Lagos through the “Better Lagos 2027 Agenda,” identified by the tagline “Àtúntò Èkó 1.0.” He articulated the core components of this blueprint, which aims to rescue Lagos from years of ineffective governance and reposition it as a flourishing, inclusive, and competitive global megacity.
Adeoye also announced plans for a grand ceremony where he will officially introduce the complete Àtúntò Èkó 1.0 blueprint. He intends to extend invitations to PDP members from other states, key stakeholders, traditional leaders, students, business executives, and everyday citizens of Lagos, signaling a landmark moment for this transformative document.
At the meeting, state university officials led by Amos Fawole warmly welcomed Adeoye and his team, praising his relentless campaign efforts that have elevated the PDP as a credible alternative to the ruling party among Lagosians.
They commended Adeoye’s steadfast loyalty to the PDP, especially during this period of internal challenges, which they believe will soon be resolved. While some candidates have defected to alternative parties or remained passive, Adeoye’s commitment to the PDP and its ideals has remained resolute.
The state executives, represented by Fawole, assured Adeoye of their full support as he strives to secure the party’s nomination for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Youth Engagement and Strong Support for Adeoye
In a parallel display of solidarity, the PDP youth wing, under the leadership of Mr. Saheed Olatunji Keulele (Osama), praised Adeoye’s direct engagement with youth leaders from all 20 local government areas, noting its inclusivity and importance.
Keulele reiterated, “We are dedicated to offering Prince Raja Adeoye our unwavering support, loyalty, and commitment,” emphasizing the need for a young, skilled, and experienced technocrat to lead Lagos at this critical juncture.
He described the Better Lagos 2027 Agenda as not just visionary, but as a practical framework for meaningful change that aligns with the aspirations of the party’s youth.
Adeoye’s policy document outlines several foundational pillars, including a significant housing initiative through public-private partnerships, modernizing infrastructure and transportation, implementing comprehensive energy reforms, enhancing community safety, and improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations.
Additionally, plans include education reforms focused on vocational training and digital learning, as well as support systems for small businesses aimed at employing millions while diversifying the economy through tourism, agriculture, and industrial innovation.
The youth forum articulated their confidence in Adeoye’s potential to become one of the most effective governors in Lagos history, citing his business acumen and ability to unify various party factions. They urged party leaders across all levels to coalesce around Adeoye as the consensus candidate who embodies the PDP’s vision for Lagos.
As a testament to his leadership, the youth also expressed admiration for Oyo State Governor Enguru Seyi Makinde for stabilizing the party in the region, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to ensure victory in the approaching elections. Adeoye has consistently reaffirmed his commitment to represent the youth and communities effectively, promising a government centered on responsible, people-focused governance.
In response to the emphatic support from party executives and youth, Adeoye expressed his gratitude and reassured them of his commitment to equitable development across Lagos State. “I am representative of millions of young people in Lagos. I will embody the leadership and governance that you can all take pride in,” he stated, heralding a vision of hope and progress for the future of Lagos.
