The 2026 Technical Masterclass, now in its second year, took place from mid-May to late June in cities including Benin City, Kaduna, Kano, Abuja, Ibadan, and Asaba. This no-cost program brought together installers, dealers, distributors, and aspiring renewable energy professionals for a series of engaging sessions that combined classroom instruction with live demonstrations of essential equipment.

Nigeria’s solar market is witnessing rapid expansion as households and businesses increasingly turn to alternative energy sources to cope with an unreliable power grid. However, industry leaders caution that the supply of qualified engineering talent is insufficient to keep pace with the growing complexity of solar installations.
