Highlighting the essence of the initiative, the Vice-Chancellor stated that institutions preparing students for the digital economy must also exhibit digital competence among their staff. He emphasized, “You can’t teach what you don’t know,” reinforcing the necessity of equipping lecturers with the skills and tools vital for contemporary teaching.
Empowering All Faculty Members
Professor Olowolafe assured that no lecturer would be left behind in this initiative, expressing a commitment to provide every faculty member, regardless of their current skill level or departmental affiliation, with access to necessary digital resources and training. This approach is aimed at fostering an inclusive learning environment.
