Obi recently called for President Bola Tinubu to resign, citing the government’s failure to enhance living conditions and meet its campaign commitments.

In a post on X, Obi claimed that the recent resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer underscores the need for political accountability and responsible leadership in Nigeria, particularly amid escalating economic and security challenges. He recalled that in the run-up to the 2015 general elections, Tinubu had urged former President Goodluck Jonathan to step down following the Chibok schoolgirls’ abduction.

Obi asserted that current conditions in Nigeria have deteriorated, emphasizing issues such as inconsistent power supply, heightened insecurity—including kidnappings—and worsening economic hardship.
