As of July 19, 2026, the FDA stated that no confirmed positive test results for Cyclospora have been recorded.
Donald W. Schaffner, dean of Rutgers University’s School of Food Science, emphasized that the recall was a prudent decision, regardless of the laboratory test results. He acknowledged the complexities involved in testing for this organism.
Tragic Developments in Iraq and Jordan
Amid ongoing tensions, the U.S. military discovered an unidentified body while searching for a service member reported missing after an Iranian missile and drone strike in Jordan.
U.S. Central Command confirmed the discovery near the site where two other service members had perished in a recent airstrike, with ongoing investigations to ascertain the identity of the remains.
