FOOG Women Support Group Drives Empowerment Initiative in Delta Central

The empowerment program, themed “Men/Women Empowerment Program in line with New Hope for MORE Initiative,” sought to promote President Tinubu’s New Hope Agenda and Governor Obolekwori’s MORE Agenda. The event facilitated the distribution of various empowerment items aimed at improving the quality of life for the beneficiaries.

Held at Okupe Hall in Orelokpe, Okpe Local Government Area, the program was positioned as more than just a political gathering. FOOG Secretary-General, Esther Okotie-Eboh, emphasized its broader significance as a platform for continuity, stability, and sustainable development. She encouraged Nigerians, especially women in Delta State, to actively support the re-election efforts of President Tinubu and Governor Obolekwori in the upcoming elections.

The Director-General of FOOG conveyed gratitude to King Felix Omatsola Ogbe, the Oloje of Okpe Kingdom, for his support of the empowerment initiative. She detailed that the items distributed, which included large coolers and cooking essentials, are intended to boost business ventures and enhance economic stability for the recipients.

Chief Hon. Mrs. Dora Sakpaide, Coordinator of the Delta Central Senatorial District FOOG Women’s Support Group, urged local women to back the re-election campaigns of both leaders. She praised the President’s New Hope Agenda and the Governor’s MORE Agenda, highlighting their focus on improving the welfare of Nigerians. Sakpaide noted the significant infrastructure developments in Delta State, including over 510 roads and bridges, alongside various healthcare initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable populations.

Beneficiaries received essential items designed to support both their entrepreneurial and household needs. Before the empowerment event, the FOOG delegation, led by Esther Okotie-Eboh, paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty King Oroje of Okpe Kingdom. The visit was well-received, with the monarch appreciating FOOG’s efforts to uplift the community through such initiatives.
