Nigeria Revenue Service Launches Advanced Tax Management Platform Rev360
The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially launched its next-generation tax management platform, Rev360, marking a significant step in its transition to Tax Management 3.0. This rollout represents the agency’s commitment to modernizing tax administration in Nigeria.
Previously reported on by PREMIUM TIMES, NRS had announced plans for the Rev360 platform, which promises a more advanced, integrated, and intelligent tax ecosystem designed to meet the demands of taxpayers. The platform went live on April 30th, coinciding with the implementation of Nigeria’s 2025 tax reforms that began on January 1st, aimed at unifying tax systems and reducing duplicative taxes.
The NRS reiterated its intention to enhance tax operations through Rev360, highlighting the platform’s seamless, transparent, and efficient approach to tax compliance. This new digital solution aims to modernize the tax payment process significantly, moving from manual to digitized systems, ultimately offering a taxpayer-centric framework.
In a statement, the tax authority emphasized that Rev360 is a transformational step towards a fully integrated tax management system. The platform builds on earlier advancements in digital tax management, streamlining the taxpayer experience and embracing transparency.
According to Zack Adediji, Executive Chairman of the NRS, the launch of Rev360 signifies a major improvement in the tax payment experience for Nigerians. “The process of paying taxes will no longer feel burdensome,” he stated, stressing that Rev360 exemplifies a commitment to a tax system that facilitates rather than hinders national development. Adediji added that the platform aims to foster trust in public institutions and support overall economic growth.
Extensive Pre-launch Preparation
The NRS has conducted a comprehensive national readiness initiative to prepare stakeholders within the tax ecosystem for the platform’s launch. This preparation included end-user training across various tax offices, a series of webinars featuring taxpayers, experts, and business associations, as well as physical training sessions in multiple regions.
Prior to the official launch, NRS implemented various outreach strategies, including live demonstrations of Rev360, instructional videos, and dissemination of user guides. The agency also established a structured feedback system to ensure ongoing engagement and support for users of the platform.
Support Framework to Enhance User Experience
The tax authority confirmed the implementation of a support framework designed to help users navigate Rev360 effectively. This framework offers a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section, formulated from real stakeholder interactions, and made available across official platforms. Additionally, a multi-channel feedback system will capture user input at various touchpoints, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
“These initiatives are designed to ensure that all users, including taxpayers and consultants, are well-informed and adequately supported as they transition to Rev360,” stated the NRS.
Rev360: Transforming the Tax Lifecycle
Rev360 aims to deliver substantial enhancements to the entire tax process, focusing on simplification, expedited service delivery, improved transparency, and real-time tracking of tax transactions. The NRS anticipates that this platform will boost compliance rates, optimize revenue management, and enhance the overall taxpayer experience.
The NRS will introduce Rev360 in phases, starting with mid-sized and emerging taxpayers before expanding to larger entities. This methodical approach ensures a more effective and systematic rollout, affirming NRS’s dedication to continual improvement and innovation in tax administration.
